Ki, /kē/, is a Japanese concept that denotes a broad idea that includes Spirit, Mind, Constructive Life Force, Energy and Intention.
In human beings Ki emerges from Self-Awareness, and being Aware is being in a state of gentle search of balance and health.
For psychologists Shelley Duval and Robert Wicklund, Self-Awareness is the ability to focus on yourself and on how your actions, thoughts and emotions do or don't align with your internal standards. If you're highly Self-Aware, you can objectively evaluate yourself, manage your emotions, align your behaviour with your values and purposes, understand how others perceive you, and how to act productively in your life.
The more Self-Aware a person is the easier for them will be to notice the signs of unbalance in their bodies and minds.
Self-Awareness, Food and Bodily Health.
In your journey to improve your health you may have noticed that not every so-called-healthy food works for you. That is a quite common situation. Our unique genetic blueprint defines our ability to break down large food molecules into smaller —absorbable— nutrients. And both, genetics and gut's health uniquely determine our ability to actually absorb those nutrients.
Maybe the newest healthiest diet that you are totally committed to is making your tummy grow, making you constipated, or having you running to the privy. Or perhaps a trendy healthy super food —or nutritional supplement— is giving you brain fog, making you feel bloated or gassy, or even giving you colitis.
Through any of the above your body is sending you the physiological sign that those foods or eating patterns are causing damage to your body, even to your mind. If you fail to notice these physiological signs, physical and mental symptoms of unbalance, distress, or disease, sooner or later will appear.
Things become more complicated when you have lost touch with your body to the extent that you can no longer perceive the warning signals it is sending you. A not-so-uncommon situation. Many people that have lived with chronic digestive troubles have lost the capability to sense warning signals like pain, bloating or brain fog, and they are confused about what foods are healthy for them –or agree with their metabolism– and which ones don't.
By implementing a short therm —usually no longer than four weeks— restrictive diet program specifically designed for you at Ki Nutrition®, you can develop the discernment of the foods that don't agree with your digestion and that can be undermining your health. Following this guided restrictive program to completion can help you reset your gut's ability to discerning the foods that agree with your particular physiology –i.e., your genetic blueprint– and the current state of health of your gut. Our personalized nutrition programs can be of benefit to people with digestive discomfort, flatulence, constipation, chronic colitis, IBS, IBD, and Malabsorption or Maldigestion Syndromes.
After completing a Ki Nutrition® therapy program you will have the discernment of the foods and eating patterns that actually support your health. Those which precisely trigger healthy and balanced responses in your whole body and mind system. And you will experience the natural outcome of switching to eating the right foods —and following the right eating patterns— for you, you will start feeling lighter, more energized, joyful and healthier. A delightful experience to live!
At Ki Nutrition® it will be our pleasure to help you cultivate the Self-Awareness you need to enhance your Energy, your Health and your Joy.
Thank you for your interest and for daring to take care of yourself!

Our clients are open-minded people that are already walking a journey to greater self-awareness, who believe in the importance of cultivating their health and well-being and wish to develop the ability to identify, on the one side, their digestive weaknesses and, on the other, the foods, eating schedules, and meal designs that are the healthier for them, i.e., that agree the best with their unique physiology and metabolism.
